Why was the carpet layer so downcast?     Well, you would be too if everyone was always looking down on your work.   To make matters worse, he carries a cell phone, in order to be readily available. The bad part is that when he’s called at work, he’s called on the carpet.     (You don’t really want me to stop, do you?)  

Did you hear about the invisible man that married the invisible woman?  I hear the kids weren’t much to look at either.              (The humor of this ought to be apparent to you)
