This is the first of two programs (#38 & #39) that deal with the Fossil Record. Generally, the Fossil Record  is given as one of the foundational icons of evolution. It is presented as indisputable proof that evolution is true. On these programs we look at the Fossil Record as it relates to evolution and as it relates to the Creation Account. In doing so we find that the Creation Account makes far more sense relative to what is seen in the Fossil Record than the Evolution Account.

What do you get when you cross a Pit Bull with a Golden Retriever?

A dog that will rip your leg off and bring it back to you!   (Come on, you know you like this one.)

Natural Selection (Survival of the Fittest) is presented from the Evolution Viewpoint as the mechanism by which one kind of organic evolves into another. When in fact Natural Selection helps in keeping the gene pool from becoming corrupted and weeds out those deemed unfit for survival by the environment. Survival of the Fittest does not explain their arrival.

This is the first of two programs (#41 & #42) in which we address what has become somewhat of a mantra within many churches, “The first eleven chapters of the Book of Genesis are figurative”, i.e. there never really was a literal Adam and Eve, nor a Garden of Eden, nor a literal flood (much less a global one), etceteras. In this session we deal with how a person can determine whether a passage is literal or figurative and begin to touch on the importance of this issue.

In this program we discuss how Euthanasia and Racism relate to how one reads the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis and find that evolution is foundational to these destructive issues. It is my opinion that, in most cases, when one wishes to make the opening chapters of the book of Genesis figurative it is for the purpose of accommodating the evolution viewpoint. Not only is this bad exegesis (drawing out what the Bible says), but it has horrific implications.

Secular Humanism is often the result of embracing atheistic evolution, i.e. man is the result of a long process of chance mutations resulting from the Big Bang that occurred some 18-20 billion years ago. There is no God or Creator. When man dies there is nothing, not even the memories of what transpired during their lifetime. There is no purpose nor design to man’s existence.  The consequences of this world view are horrific.

On this program we discuss how the opening chapters of the Book of Genesis relate to Moral Absolutes. Since man is not absolute in knowledge, how can man determine whether something is morally wrong or right? How does man determine whether something is or is not amoral (neither right nor wrong in and of itself)? For the Christian the foundation of moral absolutes is found in the Book of Genesis and the fact that it is the inspired (God-breathed) Word of God who is absolute in knowledge.

In this program we continue to discuss the importance of viewing the first eleven chapters of the Book of Genesis as literal history. We address how marriage, gender roles, the coming of the Messiah, the New Age Movement and man’s relationship with God relate to how one reads the Book of Genesis.
